Old Barn Wood
Old barn wood and barn boards are rich with history. Recycling old barns is an environmentally friendly use of existing resources. When we recycle this old wood we are saving the past for the enjoyment of future generations by adding authentic old world style to family homes. From these old barns emerge hand hewn beams, barn boards and reclaimed barn wood that retain the rich character imparted by decades of daily use and of weathering by wind, rain and sun. Antique barn wood is a true "exotic wood" that is crafted by nature.
Many old barns are mended and reused, however, many are moving into critical disrepair. Once the roof starts going, a barns wood beams and barn board interior will quickly start to decay. The recent trend is to try to recycle the salvaged barn lumber from the old barns that are dotted across our landscape.
Much of this vintage barn wood comes from original stands of old growth forests and, as a result has unparalleled architectural quality and character. It is perfect for applications in timber frame homes, post and beam construction, open ceiling beams, exposed wood beams, barn wood furniture, barn wood flooring, barn oak furniture, and moldings. This antique lumber is prized for its beauty and its dry, stable and dense nature.

We are currently moving locations & the new lumber yard will be located at 358 Gibson rd, Lanark.(10 min west of Almonte on Wolfgrove rd) Re-opening in mid Aug. YARD NOW OPEN. Yard hours are 10:00am to 2:00pm Sat & Sun. (or by appointment)
Barns have been taken down already, lumber is ready for pickup or delivery.
